My Department has contracted to purchase a site for the proposed Thurles Regional Technical College. The legal formalities for the acquisition of the site are proceeding and are expected to be completed this year. Because of the very difficult situation in relation to the availability of capital resources, it is not possible to give a time-table for the construction of the college.
