Vol. 373 No. 8

Written Answers. - Kilcoona (Galway) Teaching Strength.

236.

asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, she has to provide an additional teacher at Kilcoona national school, County Galway.

In order to warrant the appointment of a third assistant teacher an average enrolment of 105 pupils would be required for one of the periods specified in the rules. As this requirement has not been fulfilled in the case of Kilcoone national school, the appointment may not be authorised at present.
