asked the Minister for the Environment when a new hosue grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Louth.

An inspection with a view to payment of the £2,000 new house grant, will be carried out as soon as possible.

Payment of the £2,250 new house grant will be made to the builder of the house in due course in two equal instalments in accordance with the conditions of the scheme.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in payment of a new house grant and a mortgage subsidy to persons (details supplied) in County Louth; and when payment will be made.

The application is in respect of a mortgage subsidy only. The first instalment will be paid when the applicant submits the claim form, duly completed and certified by the lending agency.

As an inspection had not been carried out on or before 27 March 1987, a grant cannot be allowed.
