The amount of interest paid on loans and overdrafts to health boards from banks and other financial institutions in the years 1983 to 1986 is set out in the following table. The table also indicates the interest paid by health boards in respect of loans from the Office of Public Works in the same period.
Similar information in respect of the voluntary hospitals and other health agencies is being collated and will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
