Vol. 373 No. 10

Written Answers. - Review of Charities.

12.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he will initiate, through the various Government Departments concerned, an immediate review of the operation of charities in Ireland and of the desirability of a system of registration with proper accountability and control of administrative costs; whether the necessary legislation will be introduced as a matter of urgency following such a review; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have received no complaints as to the operation of the law of charities coming within my area of responsibility and I have no proposals at present in relation to that area of law.
