Vol. 373 No. 13

Written Answers. - Dingle (Kerry) Harbour.

150.

asked the Minister for the Marine if he is now in a position to allocate a grant for the dredging of Dingle harbour, County Kerry, as it is a hazard to fishermen; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Office of Public Works at the request of my Department have prepared a detailed report and estimate of costs for the dredging of Dingle harbour. The cost of this work is estimated to be in excess of £1.2 million. I regret that the limited funds available to me will not permit of this work being carried out in the near future. It will, however, remain a high priority with my Department when funds become available.
