asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make a statement on the applicaiton for a house improvement grant of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3 who submitted the application some time prior to the closing date for this scheme and received a verbal assurance that she would receive approval for a grant of £3,350 for the various works but has heard nothing further in this regard.

The application was received on 4 March 1987. However, as an inspection was not carried out on or before 27 March 1987 a grant cannot be allowed. The applicant has been so informed.
