Vol. 373 No. 13

Written Answers. - Waterford Food Project.

93.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will request the fraud squad to investigate allegations of a financial swindle by Irish nationals, recommended by the IDA to foreign investors (details supplied) in a food project in County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There is not sufficient evidence available to me to justify an approach by me to the Garda as suggested in the question.

It is hardly necessary for me to say that of course it is open to any person who believes that a crime has been committed, to approach the Garda on the matter and that there is not need to go through the Minister for Justice in order to do so.
