Vol. 374 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

108.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a farm installation grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

Before eligibility under the Scheme of Installation Aid for Young Farmers can be determined, a detailed investigation of each application must be carried out. In this case, the investigation has not yet been completed. If the applicant is found to be eligible, payment of the premium will be made as soon as budgetary constraints permit and I will inform the Deputy at the appropriate time.

109.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of a silage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

A claim for grant payment has been received and will be paid as soon as practicable. All claims are dealt with strictly in order of receipt and due to existing budgetary restraints there may be some delay in making grant payments.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of a ewe scheme grant to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

The person named does not qualify for a grant under the Ewe Premium Scheme because his father is the registered flockowner. The premium will however be paid to his father later this month.
