There has been no avoidable delay in granting approval to the proposed housing scheme at St. Laurence's Park, Drogheda. The high unit cost of the scheme is the subject of ongoing correspondence and meetings between departmental officials and the National Building Agency (acting on behalf of Drogheda Corporation) in an effort to achieve economies.
While my Department are aware of the number of applicants on the housing list in Drogheda they are not in a position at this stage to give approval to this scheme.
