Tenders for this scheme are, at present, under consideration in my Department. However, my Department recently approved the Council's proposal to carry out a section of Contract 8 and the making of a special contribution to facilitate the phase 2 development of the Farmers Bridge Group Water Scheme. A loan application for these works is at present being processed in my Department. At this stage, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision may issue to the local authority on the remainder of the scheme.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding Asdee group water scheme, Listowel, County Kerry.
The group scheme is proposed to be served by the planned stage 4 of the Listowel Regional Water Supply Scheme. A revised preliminary report for the regional scheme was recently submitted by Kerry County Council and is now being examined in my Department.
