Broadcasting of Dáil Proceedings: Motion.

I move:

(1) That Dáil Éireann authorise the live radio and television broadcasting by Radio Telefís Éireann on 21 st October of the speech by the Ceann Comhairle welcoming Mr. Robert J. L. Hawke, M. P., Prime Minister of Australia, the Prime Minister's address and the expression of thanks by the Ceann Comhairle for the address, subject to the following conditions:—

(a) that they be broadcast in their entirety and that they be not interrupted by commentary, analysis or commercial breaks; and

(b) that they may not be rebroadcast in whole or in part except as permitted in and subject to the conditions set out in the Resolution of the Dáil of 10 March, 1987, in so far as they relate to the broadcasting of proceedings of the Dáil; and

(2) that the announcement by the Taoiseach, pursuant to Standing Order 25, of the order in which Government business is to be taken, be made at the conclusion of Question Time on 21 October.".
