asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will indicate the progress, if any, made since his reply to a parliamentary question on 7 April 1987 in ensuring that all State bodies under his aegis comply with the new requirements in regard to their annual reports under each major heading of the new requirements.

In my reply to the Deputy's question of 7 April 1987 I mentioned that the terms of the Government decision had been brought to the attention of the various State bodies under the aegis of my Department and that discussions were taking place regarding their implementation.
These discussions are now well advanced and it is anticipated that the desired changes, where feasible, will be reflected in the various bodies Annual Report and Accounts in respect of the financial years commencing after 31 March 1987 to comply with the Government's decision of 16 December 1986.
