There are no published figures showing the percentage of the Irish Gross Domestic Product provided by telecommunications related services and comparable figures in other EC countries are not available.
The EC Commission's Green Paper on the development of the Common Market for telecommunications services and equipment is being examined by my Department in consultation with other interested bodies and accordingly I am not in a position to offer views on the proposals in the Green Paper at this time.
