The main conclusions of the Jakobsen report in regard to the pricing of privately generated electricity are that such schemes should be countenanced only to the extent that they would have the effect of lowering the costs to the consumer, that the consumer and the ESB should be neutral in relation to private generation and that the ESB should not abuse their monopoly position. I am in full agreement with these conclusions.
