asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to the applications which have been sent to Brussels for FEOGA grant aid for the erection of two livestock marts, one in Clifden, County Galway and another in Maam Cross, County Galway; the Government's position on this; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The two grant applications referred to have been submitted to the EC Commission for consideration for Community aid. My Department have already approved grant aid from national funds for both projects.
