It is not possible at this stage to say precisely when the national marketing plan will be completed. Work on the preparation of the plan is proceeding.
It is not anticipated that the measures proposed in the plan will give rise to any need for extra resources. What is intended is that, through greater co-ordination of the national effort, more effective use will be made of the substantial resources already allocated to marketing across a variety of State and other entities. Thus, the plan will seek to harness these resources to achieve the aims set out for it in the Programme for National Recovery.
