Vol. 374 No. 9

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

128.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a house improvement grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named. There is, however, an application from a person with a slightly different name from a broadly similar address. In that case the grant will be paid as soon as possible.

129.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will have a reinspection of a property carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Cork, with a view to having the estimate of repairs increased so as to increase the amount of grant payable.

Before a revision of the amounts of the grants approved following an inspection can be considered the applicant should indicate in what respects he regards the approved costs (i.e. the costs as estimated by the Department's inspector using standard costings) as inadequate.

130.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a new house grant will be made to persons (details supplied) in County Limerick.

An inspection, with a view to payment of the £2,000 grant, will be carried out when the applicants notify the Department that the house is fully completed and they are in occupation of the house as their normal place of residence.

The receipt of additional documentation requested from the applicants in relation to the £2,250 "builders" grant is awaited.

131.
