Vol. 374 No. 9

Written Answers. - Insolvency Fund.

166.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will give details of interventions by his Department under the Employers' Insolvency Act, 1984, in which his Department made representations to the Employment Appeals Tribunal against payments to employees from the insolvency fund together with the tribunal case number concerned and the appropriate provision of the Insolvency Act which was the subject of departmental intervention.

My Department have not made interventions or representations to the Employment Appeals Tribunal under the Protection of Employees (Employers' Insolvency) Act, 1984. However, in cases of appeals against decisions or referrals by me to the tribunal under section 9 of the Act, officers of my Department have made oral and written submission at the relevant hearings.
