The board have submitted a report outlining proposals for the provision of essential research and related services and I am giving the matter urgent consideration. I do not propose to comment further until I have completed my consideration of the proposals.

The Government considered that more cost effective arrangements could be made for the provision of the essential research and related services provided until now by An Foras Forbartha.
