Written Answers. - Niemba Ambush Victims

188.

asked the Minister for Defence arising out of replies to parliamentary questions given by him on Thursday, 29 October 1987 in which he indicated his willingness to reconsider the question of conferring the Medal of Gallantry or other award in respect of the victims of the Niemba Ambush, if he will outline the form that the consideration and the award will take; and when a result will be forthcoming.

Limerick West): What I did say in reply to supplementary questions on this matter on 29 October, 1987, was that the suggestion that a memorial be erected to commemorate those who died in the Niemba Ambush will be considered in due course.
