I announced recently that I have decided in favour of allowing temporary leasing of quotas on an annual basis.
I am arranging for consultations between my Department and the organisations representing the industry to take place shortly so that the necessary arrangements can be made to enable such leasing take place from the commencement of the new milk year i.e. from 1 April 1988.
