asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the proposed milk restructuring scheme will come into operation.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 42 and 79 together.
Under the terms of the restructuring scheme which I announced recently cooperatives and dairies are designated as the operating agencies. These will shortly draw up the schemes for their collection areas and submit them to my Department for approval. I am expecting the schemes to get under way shortly thereafter so that the quotas bought up can be reallocated to the benefiting farmers for the commencement of the new milk year on 1 April 1988.
