The technical aspects of the revised tender submission for this scheme are generally acceptable. However, as the funds available in 1987 for the local authority housing construction programme have already been fully allocated to meet expenditure on schemes in progress or already approved, it is not possible to issue approval at this stage for this proposal.
I am not yet in a position to indicate when the scheme will be approved or what capital will be made available to any housing authority for housing construction next year.
