asked the Minister for Social Welfare the amount of the Christmas bonus payable this year to a person (a) on long term unemployment assistance living alone; (b) an old age contributory pensioner without dependants; (c) an old age contributory pensioner with an adult dependant and (d) a single mother with one child.

The amount of the Christmas bonus payable in the cases mentioned (based on maximum rates) is as follows: (a) £24.60; (b) £35.80 (pensioner under 80); (c) £58.60 (pensioner under 80, adult dependant under 66); (d) £37.60. Additional bonuses are payable to each of these categories in respect of all adult and child dependants.
