asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in sheep headage payments to County Donegal farmers; the number of farmers in County Donegal eligible under the scheme; and when he expects payment to be made.

Sheep headage payments commenced on 20 November and of the 4,162 Donegal applicants 1,716 have already been paid. Payments to the remaining applicants will continue over the next few weeks.

54.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a farm development scheme grant of £2,235 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

The grant is being processed with a view to payment if everything is found to be in order. Due to existing budgetary constraints there is some delay in making grant payments.
