Vol. 375 No. 7

Written Answers. - High Tension Powerlines.

67.

asked the Minister for Energy if, in view of the increasing concern of the people of north and east Wicklow regarding high tension powerlines, he will meet a deputation from the group of local concerned people known as SPARKS to discuss this issue.

I am at present in the process of arranging a further review of relevant published reports dealing with the question of the alleged effects on human health from overhead power lines. This assessment will take some time to complete but when the information is available I will be prepared to consider a meeting with interested groups.
