I understand that Galway County Council have fully expended the capital allocated to them in 1987 specifically for the construction of rural cottages. As the funds available for the local authority housing construction programme in 1987 have already been fully allocated it is not possible to allocate further capital in 1987 to finance the provision of this or any similar cottage. I am not in a position, at this stage, to indicate for next year what funds will be made available to individual housing authorities for their housing construction programmes.
