Vol. 375 No. 9

Written Answers. - Prison Officers' Insurance.

32.

asked the Minister for Justice the cover or insurance, if any, now or in the past which prison officers have or had who perform duty as detailed in the church grounds and graveyard area adjoining Arbour Hill prison, Dublin 7 in the event of they being injured or assaulted in the course of their duties.

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 75 on Thursday, 19 November 1987. The various provisions regarding compensation referred to in my reply would apply irrespective of where the official duties are performed.
