Vol. 375 No. 9

Written Answers. - Ashbourne, Meath, Route.

43.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he, or officials of his Department, recently participated in tripartite discussions with Meath County Council and the Department of Education concerning the route for a proposed road by-pass of Ashbourne, County Meath; and, if so, if he will give details of the outcome of the meeting.

A meeting was held yesterday involving officials of Meath County Council, the Department of Education and my Department with a view to securing a mutually acceptable solution in relation to the sitting of proposed schools and a by-pass route at Ashbourne. I will be in touch with the Deputy when I have had an opportunity to consider a report of yesterday's discussions.
