(Limerick East) asked the Minister for Education if she will allow the schedule of accommodation for the Thurles Regional Technical College, County Tipperary, to be prepared, since it requires no funding, in order to allow the North Tipperary Vocational Education Committee to begin the consultative process prior to any architectural planning.

The Deputy will be aware that Thurles RTC is one of the major third level projects which have been deferred.
I have considered this request and I am satisfied that the diversion of staff from other duties, to prepare schedules of accommodation in respect of this and other deferred projects, should not be authorised at this stage.
