A grant of £50,000 was approved in 1986 under the capital grant scheme for the construction of recreational facilities towards the cost of building Drum community sports and social centre. An amount of £34,837 of this grant was paid on 16 December 1986, on the basis of interim claims received in accordance with the terms of the scheme.
Further claims for payment have been recently received and are currently under consideration in my Department. An early decision will be made on the matter of further payment to issue in respect of the outstanding grant balance of £15,163 in this case.
