Written Answers. - Anglo-Irish Agreement.

16.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs his views on the merits or demerits of the Anglo-Irish Agreement on the occasion of its second anniversary; and the way in which he sees the agreement developing in the next year.

The position of the Government on the Anglo-Irish Agreement was outlined to the Deputy by the Taoiseach in the Dáil on 24 March this year.

The Government in the coming year will continue to seek through the mechanism of the agreement to improve the situation of all the people living in Northern Ireland and especially of members of the Nationalist community.
