asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will give a breakdown of the total spending on disease eradication in cattle since the commencement of the disease eradication scheme; and the total amount of money involved.

The information requested is as follows:—

Expenditure (in £ million) on disease eradication (bovine tuberculosis and brucellosis) from the beginning of the schemes (1954) to 30 November, 1987.
