Vol. 376 No. 10

Written Answers. - Replacement of County Galway Schools.

105.

asked the Minister for Education when her Department will provide new schools to replace the present school buildings at Athenry national school, Coldwood national school and Lisheenkyle national school in County Galway which are in very poor condition and are urgently in need of being replaced.

While the architectural planning for the proposed new national schools at Athenry and Kisheenkyle, and the extension of Coldwood national school in County Galway is at a reasonably advanced stage, I have not found it possible to arrange for the funding of these projects in 1988 due to the pressure on the capital available in my Department for the national schools building programme.
