Vol. 376 No. 11

Written Answers. - County Roscommon Group Water Scheme.

76.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he has approved plans submitted by Roscommon County Council for the Lisheen group water scheme, County Roscommon; if not, when he proposes to do so; the number of (a) domestic grants and (b) agricultural grants in each case; the amount of grant in each case; if special contribution has been approved; and, if so, the amount.

It is proposed that this group scheme would take its water supply from the northeastern regional water supply scheme, which is currently under construction by Roscommon County Council. My Department is currently assessing the financial viability of the group's proposals and the group will be contacted further when this examination is completed. I cannot say at this stage what grants may be allocated in respect of the scheme, or whether a special contribution would apply.
