The following table gives the tax exclusive and tax inclusive prices for liquid petroleum gas in the case of the standard domestic cylinder and also car gas. When LPG was the subject of detailed price control (i.e. up to March 1985) price was reviewed on the basis of actual costs for the bottled gas companies. The "imported price CIF" was not an element in the decision process and therefore figures for this category are not readily available to my Department.
The retail prices shown for 1985 and 1986 are those obtaining at the end of each quarter.
