Payment of headage grants to the person named will be made shortly.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a sheep subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

Payment of grants due to the person named in respect of the 1986 ewe premium scheme cannot be considered until he replies to a query concerning his application. His recent application under the 1987 ewe premium and 1988 sheep headage schemes are being processed and payments will be made later this year provided the inspection of his flock is satisfactory.

47.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kerry has not been paid a farm modernisation grant.

A claim under the farm improvement programme for payment of a farm buildings grant has been received and will be paid as soon as practicable. All claims under the programme are dealt with strictly in order of receipt. Due to existing budgetary constraints there is some delay in making grant payments.
