Vol. 377 No. 2

Written Answers. - Dungarvan (Waterford) Social Welfare Offices.

54.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if his attention has been drawn to the inconvenience being caused to social welfare applicants who have to queue on the stairway onto the public road at their offices in Dungarvan, County Waterford; if alternative accommodation could be found in view of the fact that a suitable premises is vacant at Church Street, Dungarvan, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department are aware of the accommodation limitations of the social welfare office in Dungarvan and the Office of the Public Works have been asked to provide alternative accommodation.

The acquisition of premises at Church Street, Dungarvan, is at an advanced stage and it is expected that the new accommodation will be available for occupation in about three months time.
