The proposed works have been approved subject to modifications and a grant will be available to cover the cost of bringing the pool up to the standard set out in my Department's standard specification. The grant will not cover the cost of certain ancillary facilities which the local authority wish to provide but these could be financed by a treasurer loan. I will deal promptly with the financial aspects when I receive the local authority's response to a communication sent to them on 29 January.
