Written Answers - Grant Payments.

174.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have a house improvement grant paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny, where the work has been inspected and passed several months ago.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an amenity grant will be paid to a club (details supplied) in County Kerry which was sanctioned in 1987.

176.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an amenity grant will be paid to a club (details supplied) in County Kerry which was sanctioned in 1987.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 175 and 176 together.

The grant allocations in these cases were withdrawn in the circumstances outlined in my reply to Question No. 63 of 29 October 1987. The question of payment of the grants does not, therefore, arise.

177.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; the reason a final inspection in this case had to be done twice; and if he will now expedite payment in view of the delay.

It was necessary to arrange a second inspection to clarify certain aspects relating to the works carried out and the grant will be paid as soon as possible.

178.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will confirm that certificates of approval for house improvement grants under the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1979 will last indefinitely until the work has been completed with particular reference to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

I have no proposals to introduce a closing date for the completion of works under the house improvement grants scheme.
