I am circulating in the Official Report a tabular statement giving the information from 1984 to 1987. Numbers for 1983 are not available. The total number of student nurses admitted to training in 1984 was 1,060, in 1985, 1,035, in 1986, 1,027, and 720 in 1987. It is proposed to have an intake of at least 1,126 students for general training in 1988 and at least an intake of 45 for psychiatric training. These will commence training during the year.
