Vol. 377 No. 7

Written Answers. - School Transport.

91.

asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that parents in Ballyogan Estate, Carrickmines, County Dublin, have to pay £2.50 per week per child to get them to school as the planned school for the district has not been built; and, in view of that, whether she is willing to provide a free bus service to available school places in Queen of Angels national school and Dundrum national school.

The pupils in question are not basically eligible for school transport as they live less than two miles from the nearest national school, that is Sandyford national school. A special transport service may not, therefore, be provided in this case.
