Gaisce, the President's Award, was established following a Government decision to support the creation of an award scheme for young people. The scheme is designed to recognise the leadership qualities of young people, challenge them to become better citizens and to contribute their talents to the community.
Arrangements are currently under consideration in regard to the presentation of awards to successful participants in the award programme.
