Vol. 378 No. 3

Written Answers. - Storm Damage to County Offaly School.

147.

asked the Minister for Education the action she proposes to take following the destruction in the recent storm of a prefabricated classroom at St. Joseph's special school, Tullamore, County Offaly.

The Deputy is understood to refer to damage caused to the roof of a prefabricated classroom used for a special class at St. Joseph's Convent national school, County Offaly, during a recent storm. The repair of such damage is a matter in the first instance for the school authorities, and it is expected that the cost of necessary works would be recoverable under the schools's insurance arrangements. My Department's professional advisers have, at the request of the school's chairman, provided advice on procedures.
