Vol. 378 No. 3

Written Answers. - Anglo-Irish Agreement Review.

34.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will outline the plans, if any, he has in connection with a review of the Anglo-Irish Agreement, provided for in the Agreement; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Article 11 of the Anglo-Irish Agreement provides that:

At the end of three years from signature of this Agreement, or earlier if requested by either Government, the working of the Conference shall be reviewed by the two Governments to see whether any changes in the scope and nature of its activities are desirable.

It would be premature for the Government to consider outlining their plans for the review at this time.
