Vol. 378 No. 3

Written Answers. - County Meath Council Houses.

95.

asked the Minister for the Environment when he received for approval the tender for the building of four county council houses in Moynalty, County Meath; and when he expects to sanction same.

The tender submission for the scheme in question was received in my Department in January 1987. It was not possible to sanction this scheme in 1987 as it could not be funded within the allocation for local authority housing for that year.

Pending the outcome of the examination of the 1988 claims for housing construction capital which have been submitted by all housing authorities, it is not possible to indicate what funds will be available to individual authorities to finance their housing programme and, consequently, when this scheme or any other scheme will be approved.
