Vol. 378 No. 4

Written Answers. - Criminal Injuries Compensation Claim.

43.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will make a statement indicating the reason for the prolonged delay on the part of the Garda in furnishing the report and information requested a considerable time ago by the Criminal injuries Compensation Tribunal regarding a criminal injuries compensation claim by a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12; and if the necessary report will be furnished now without delay.

The report in question was furnished to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal on 17 February 1988. I am informed by the Garda Authorities that the Deputy was advised to this effect by the Garda on that date.

The question of the delay that apparently occurred in this case is being looked into by the Garda Authorities.
