Vol. 378 No. 6

Written Answers. - Maynooth (Kildare) Fire Station.

247.

asked the Minister for the Environment if his Department have approved the modified plans on the improvement and extension of facilities at Maynooth fire station, Maynooth, County Kildare; if he will sanction this project; and if there are sufficient funds available in the current year for the implementation of the proposals.

I gave approval to Kildare County Council on 17 December 1987 to proceed with the invitation of tenders for the improvement works to Maynooth fire station and I understand that tenders will be invited shortly. The question of providing funds will not arise until the competitive tendering process has been satisfactorily completed.
