Vol. 378 No. 9

Written Answers. - Dublin Hospital Extension.

164.

asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement on the present position regarding the £30 million extension at the Mater Hospital, Dublin 7, which was completed in early 1986 and has remained closed because his Department has failed to provide the additional funding required to open this extension.

Discussions are at present taking place between the hospital authorities concerned and officials of my Department on the question of opening the extension at the Mater Hospital. A decision on the extent and timing of the opening will be made before the end of this month.
